TERMS OF USE

Understand the terms.
Know the risks.

Effective September 18, 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These terms govern your use of TorSeeker, including its directory, search, archived images and API. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. You must be at least 18 and legally able to accept these terms. Nothing here overrides rights or protections that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

2. Purpose and scope

TorSeeker is an observational index for lawful research, education and awareness. It helps you examine stored information about onion services without needing to open their live websites. It is not a marketplace, payment provider, escrow service, safety certification or anonymity service. A listing, ranking, screenshot, link or online badge is not an endorsement, recommendation or verification of any operator, claim, product or activity.

3. Risks and your choices

Listed services may be fraudulent, malicious, impersonated, unlawful or unavailable. Archived text and images may be offensive, graphic, deceptive or outdated. Treat every service as untrusted. Do not send money, provide credentials or personal details, download files, or follow instructions because a service appears here. Cryptocurrency transfers may be irreversible. Blurred previews and isolated rendering reduce some exposure; they do not guarantee safety, privacy, anonymity or freedom from harmful content.

Opening an external link leaves TorSeeker and connects you to a third-party service under that service's practices and terms. You are responsible for deciding whether access is lawful and appropriate where you are. An image warning acknowledgement is a choice to reveal that image, not a waiver of non-waivable legal rights.

4. Permitted use

Use TorSeeker only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to facilitate fraud, illegal transactions, exploitation, harassment, unauthorized access or the distribution of unlawful material. Do not attack the service, bypass access controls, interfere with crawling, overload the API or submit false or abusive reports. We may restrict access or remove records to address abuse, technical problems, valid complaints or legal obligations.

5. Third-party content and reports

Source titles, descriptions, links and images belong to or originate from third parties. Their presence does not transfer ownership or grant a license to reuse them. Automated collection does not verify their accuracy or legality. We do not control external services and cannot guarantee that all harmful material will be identified. Use the content report form for abuse or rights concerns and the operator request form for removal requests. Provide enough information to identify the record and explain your concern, without uploading unlawful material or secrets. Reports are reviewed; submission does not guarantee immediate removal.

6. Availability and accuracy

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and its observations are provided as available, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Records reflect sampled observations at stated times, not continuous monitoring or current verification. We may correct, update, suspend or discontinue features.

7. Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TorSeeker's operators disclaim liability for losses resulting from reliance on third-party content, dealings with external services, fraudulent claims, unavailable or outdated records, or interruptions outside their reasonable control. Where lawful, this includes indirect or consequential losses, lost profits and lost data. These terms do not exclude liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

8. Data and privacy limits

The application uses cookies for request security and sessions, including your temporary image-reveal choices. Reports and crawl observations are stored for operation and review. Hosting infrastructure may process connection information and technical logs. Do not assume that access is anonymous, and do not include sensitive personal information, passwords or private keys in queries or reports. Viewing an archived image does not itself contact the source onion service; opening its external link does.

9. Changes and applicable law

Updates will be published here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect indicates acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Updates do not remove accrued rights or override any legally required notice or consent. Mandatory local law and consumer rights continue to apply. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent lawful. Questions about these terms may be submitted through the report form.
